In the position of Corporate Advanced Analytics Manager (90-100%) you will have the unique opportunity to shape the digital transformation of a complex, multi-national logistics company by contributing in developing and driving a strategy to make advanced analytics accessible to the whole of Panalpina.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Corporate Lead of Advanced Analytics to develop and drive the Panalpina advanced analytics strategy, helping us become the most cutting-edge freight forwarding provider by purposefully leveraging the latest developments in computer science

• Develop and implement end-to-end solutions based on the latest advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, partnering closely with cross-functional business teams in Products, Sales, Finance and IT to realize high value-add advanced analytics use cases

• Uncover actionable insights; jointly with the business, turn volumes of data into next-generation business opportunities, product features and partnership opportunities to fulfill the Panalpina’s strategic objectives

• Evangelize, with a passion, a data culture across the business and serve as an expert on latest trends in advanced analytics

• Assist the Corporate Lead of Advanced Analytics in driving a portfolio of strategic and ad-hoc advanced analytics and BI projects

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of relevant data science and BI tools, such as R, Python, Spark, etc.

• Ambitious self-starter with deep, hands-on knowledge of the latest data science methodologies and statistical methods

• Successful track record in the practical application of advanced analytics methodologies

• A minimum of 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in a directly related area, during which professional capabilities have been clearly demonstrated

• Good understanding of advanced analytics architectures

• Good understanding of business processes, change and process management

• Knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics is a plus

• Team player with high willingness to involve stakeholders in the development process, obtaining buy-in and implementing solutions

Languages

• English: Fluent spoken and written

• German is a plus
