Purpose of the position

Reporting to the site QA Manager, the QA Engineer will be responsible for all manufacturing processes Quality Control in the Colon Operation including: Inbound, POQC, FQC, OQC and Shipping . He/she will drive Quaity Process Improvement. He/she will work closely with the on-site client to identify potential issues before they become a problem.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for keeping all SOP’s and WI accurate and upto-date and Quality Key Process Indicators

He/she will work closely with other departments on root-cause-analysis and capa reporting.

Key Tasks

*

* Control of Quality Process Flow

* Develop Quality Control plans

* Have basic knowledge and understanding of telecommunication product and electronics assembly.

* Have in-depth understanding of following and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

* Hands-on ability should any process problems occur. Able to analyse and report should any process deviate.

* Proven problem solving capability and able to analyse potential problem independently.

* Clear understanding of Continuous Improvement methodology. Prior LEAN manufacturing experience and/or certification is a distinct advantage.

* Able to write specifications and Work Instructions for assembled product

* Continually monitor operation for out-of-process occurrences.

* Must work closely with client on be spoke packaging requirement.

* Work with other departments to resolve external customer Quality Claims and provide root cause analysis and Improvement plans. Knowledge of 8D is an advantage.

* Member of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team.

* Must have experience in an International Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) organization.

* Experience in a pick/pack environment a definite advantage.

* Experience in High-end electronic assembly is essential.

* Experience with Configure-To-Order (CTO) manufacturing processes is a bonus.

* Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing certification is a definite advantage.

* Project management and process skills are a pre-requisite,

* Experience in an international work environment is essential.

Educational background / Work experience

* Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering or equivalent

* Min. 5 years of Process/ QA Engineering experience
