We are looking to hire a Regional Tender Manager MEAC to grow the tendered business in volume/GP for MEAC or assigned geographical Area within the Region.


• Coordinating all regional activities in relation with Tender Management for the assigned geographical Area (this includes continuous improvement initiatives)

• Be capable of preparing competitive, high quality proposals in response to forwarding RFQs/RFIs/RFPs received from global/regional priority accounts closely cooperating with other Tender Management Teams, Bid Owner, and Product as well as support functions.

• Should adhere to good business practice

• Perform additional duties and/or ad hoc projects as assigned by the Regional Head of Tender Management

• Asses incoming opportunities, apply no bid strategy or assign the opportunity to the leading team/person

• Team backup for leading tenders as a bid-manager

• Maintain TM Team in-house pricing knowledge within the assigned geographical region in close co-operation with product & countries

• Interface with other functional groups such as IT, Industry Verticals, Trade Lane Development, Trade lane Management as well as customers in creating/delivering customer driven services and solutions


• Higher educational level (degree business administration, economics, logistics)

• Working experience (minimum 5 years)

• Industry experience (minimum 4 years)Functional & operational know-how in global forwarding

• Deep understanding of Panalpina (strategy and products)

• Deep market knowledge (customers, air & ocean freight rates/services)

• Basic knowledge in finance & good business practice

• Supply Chain & Logistics knowledge would be seen as an asset


• Organizational skills / Project management (prioritize, plan, assign and control)

• Able to manage cross-functional interfaces and be successful in a matrix organization

• Decision-making capabilities

• Analytical & data mining skills

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)

• Customer focused, result and team driven

• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze RFI and RFQ documents in a timely manner

• Proactive self-starter

• International mindset

• Excellent know-how of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

• Basic understanding of databases & database structures

• SAP / CRM knowledge is an advantage
