Based in our office in Frankfurt/Moerfelden or Dusseldorf we are looking to hire a Country Air Freight Project Specialist (f/m/d) PMO Germany to the next possible start date:

Responsibilities

If you are passionate about managing projects and acting as an internal consultant, our job is just right for you. As a Project Specialist at Panalpina the primary purpose of your job is to drive various projects of continuous improvements within the product Air Freight. Therefore, your focus is in the Project Management Office (PMO) tasks, but bringing in your ideas for contents of the projects is highly welcome. The following details describe your job:

• Act as an active partner in country organization and evaluate projects for quality / productivity / importance and plan accordingly necessary project plan and resources

• Responsible for the planning, execution and closing of the assigned projects according to the defined project management methodology

• Use management information and overall track KPI's to review and improve specific service quality improvement opportunities

• Keep track on the project roadmap and plan and summarize topic-related meetings / workshops

• Provide recommendations to Country Air Freight Management in regards to project set up, structure, procedures, required capacities, and priorities

• Take over general administrative work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration/Logistics or forwarding apprenticeship with professional experience

• 2 years of experience in project management and process engineering, direct Air Freight experience is mandatory

• Good knowledge of improvement methods (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma), and deep knowledge in freight forwarding, SCM in general

• Profundable knowledge of MS Office (primarily Excel, Project and enhanced PPT skills)

• Ability to think outside of the box and keep track on various projects sustainably; excellent communication skills

• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken), willingness to travel up to 25%
