We are looking to hire a District Head of Ocean Freight Central (f/m/d) for our office in Frankfurt/Moerfelden, Nuremberg or Duesseldorf:

Responsibilities

As a leading executive, you take over the entire responsibility for the product Ocean Freight in central Germany. Therefore, we are looking for a personality who knows their key figures and their employees. With your leadership and product experience you perform in the following activities in detail:

• Manage Ocean Freight strategy implementation & business plans as per roadmap volume and EBIT targets

• Manage financial & operations performance throughout the District

• Support efficiency programs, reduce unit costs & increase productivity/efficiency KPIs

• Drive improvements in the stations

• Co-develop Ocean Freight local product & network ideas

• Align analysis & gaps in product portfolio, network, capacity with country product management

• Perform Country Ocean Freight sales planning per trade lane & market pricing

• Steer the Industrial Verticals and Trade Lanes growth as per product growth plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Logistics or equivalent experience as operations manager

• Minimum 8 years professional Ocean Freight experience either on forwarder or carrier side

• Minimum 5 years experience as a product responsible assuming product P&L responsibility

• Minimum 3 years experience in people management and leadership

• Energetic leadership personality with quick decision making capabilities

• Ability to effectively manage employee performance through KPI setting and measurement

• Strong communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to drive change management

• Proficient in German and English, deep knowledge of MS Office and willingness to travel
