We are looking to hire a Senior IT Security Engineer to ensure that the Security Architecture supports Panalpina`s overarching corporate objectives and security strategy.

This position will support and monitor business technical programs and projects to ensure that their design and implementation comply with industry standards and good practice and their results meet the expectations of the organization.

This role will be responsible for defining, maintaining and communicating the technical security controls and operational information security governance.

Key Tasks

* Define Security Architectural principles, its components and services.

* Initiate changes that are needed to improve information security.

* Ensure that company-wide security requirements are correctly implemented.

* Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues.

* Provide technical guidance across security technologies. Identify current threats and report risks across security domains.

* Monitor security environment, identifying security gaps; evaluate and manage enhancements.

* Prepares system security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends and provides management reports.

* Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Educational background / Work experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

* Professional information security certification, such as CISM, CISSP, CEH, CISA, CRISC or other – is preferred

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in any of the following - information system auditing, system architecture, enterprise architecture, system engineering, software engineering, infrastructure or network operations

Skills and Competences

* SME in at least 3 of the following domains: platform security, network security, application security, data security, endpoint security.

* In-depth technical knowledge of Information Security Architecture, Information Security Risk Management and Secure System Development.

* Deep technical configuration knowledge of Windows OS, Unix, Linux, other tools related to Servers

* Expert knowledge in industry standard security frameworks such as NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001 etc.

* Demonstrate good management or supervisory experience of a security team

* Demonstrate ability to influence and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic and tactical goals

* Ability to communicate openly, clearly and concisely; can explain technical issues in simple terms

* Strategic and planning skills (ability to translate strategy to operational planning and to execution)
