We are looking to hire a Corporate Network Engineer LAN and WAN to Perform IT Operations (design, implement, support, manage, maintain and monitor) of network systems (Routing, Switching, Wireless, VPN, IPAM) and you will be part of a global IT team with people from different regions (Singapore, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany and USA).

Responsibilities:

• Coordination of Wireless LAN projects

• Manage Wireless infrastructure

• Technical advisor of Wireless LAN projects;

• Product / solution evaluation of Wireless LAN projects;

• 3rd level support of Wireless LAN projects;

• Manage, maintain and monitor IPAM (DNS/DHCP) infrastructure in Data Centers.

• Design, implement, support, manage, maintain and monitor WAN/LAN infrastructure in Data Centers and Campus environment

• Function as a consultant and be comfortable interacting and coordinating with various internal IT teams.

• Manage network projects to ensure they are successfully completed on time and within scope.

• Participate to the ITO Mode of operation and participate to On-Call duty rotation.

• Stays current on latest networking technology and adheres to design best practices.

• Maintains detailed network diagrams and network documentation

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;

• CCNA / CCNP Wireless Certifications is desirable;

• Experience supporting international networks is a plus.

Knowledge:

• Excellent understanding of network operation of data centers;

• Expert knowledge of Wireless LAN technologies (Cisco);

• Good knowledge in Routing and Switching technologies;

• Advanced knowledge in IPAM / DNS / DHCP systems;

• Expert knowledge of L2-L4 protocols in an enterprise environment;

• Expert knowledge of network monitoring tools and best practices,

• Knowledge of MPLS/VPN networks and enterprise routing protocol (BGP, EIGRP)

Skills:

• Demonstrated skills in technical documentation and network diagramming;

• Demonstrated analytical, deductive reasoning and troubleshooting skills;

• Demonstrated organization skills;

• Demonstrated customer service skills;

• Ability to interact with personnel on all levels of the organization;

• Ability to work independently or as a member of the team;

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing;

• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision;

• Ability to research future hardware/software technologies

Languages:

• Excellent command of English, written and spoken

• German and / or other languages advantageous

Specific for job / Environment:

• Your job location will be in Saldanha (center of Lisbon, Portugal) and you will be part of the Corporate IT Center of Excellence with peers working in Basel, Switzerland;

• International environment

• Permanent contract with 35h/week
