Purpose of Position

* Execute the LCL consolidation import activities

Key Tasks

* Manage pre-alert report 7 days prior to ETA.

* Ensure OSC LCL Import CCS and co-loads are monitored and up to date (Daily Function)

* Mitigate and negotiate potential storage charges / liabilities.

* Obtain vessel Arrival notice with accurate ETA / ATA at port of discharge from shipping line/co-loaders.

* Ensure AMS and ISF compliance.

* Approve and assure timely payment due to carrier / NVO, if needed.

* Submit arrival notice / invoice 5 days prior to ETA or as per customer SOP.

* Manage Track and Trace milestones.

* Monitor vendor compliance with service standards and requirements as per contract terms.

* Manage and ensure timely availability and release of cargo.

* Manage all preliminary claims.

* Manage OS&D communication.

* Ensure FMC compliance and NRA availability at the time the shipments are tendered for carriage.

* Ensure effective use of Incident Handling Tool (IHT) to capture reoccurring issues and escalate for corrective action.

* Assist with the Shipping Run

* Ensure compliance of KPI’s.

* Other functions as required.

Decision Making Authority

* Exception handling by consulting with Team Supervisor.

* Prepare and execute LCL import activities within established guidelines

* Proven track record of minimum 2 years in the sea freight import field.

* HazMat Certification.

* Understanding of U.S. inbond documentation procedures and requirements.

* General knowledge of CBP/AMS/USDA/FDA rules and regulations.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
