We are looking to hire a Corporate Application Support Engineer (IBM product suite) (m/f). In this position you will be responsible for variety of applications developed on latest version of the IBM Digital Integration Platform (IBM MQ, IIB, BPM, ODM). This challenging position requires combination of broad technical knowledge of the IBM platform and application solution architecture. Panalpina will provide necessary training on required technologies and applications.

You will be an important part of a motivated team, where we are looking for you to collaborate in the application support and release management of all applications delivered to the new Panalpina Digital Integration Platform based on the IBM product suite (MQ, IIB, BPM, ODM). You will also have the chance to participate in the quality control of the new solutions ensuring high performance and availability of the solutions. We want someone that has grown up through the enterprise software development ranks - possessing 3+ years’ experience, knowledge of IBM products and middleware technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support integration solutions by leveraging tools within the IBM product suite: IIB, BPM, ODM, Datapower Gateway, API Connect …

• Work collaboratively with other teams (architecture, development and infrastructure teams)

• Manage support activities using the ticketing system (prioritize issues, update and maintain issue list)

• Troubleshoot/debug and resolve application issues related to users and services

• Understand the business and customer needs to introduce technical solutions

• Ensure high performance and high availability of the platform and applications

• Provide support for escalated issues on the IBM SOA Suite

• Release/deploy management for Quality and Production environments

• Quality control (implementation, delivery, performance and availability of the applications)

• Script / automate core processes to improve efficiency as well as platform performance and availability

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or another technical field

• Have 3+ years of experience in enterprise application development, middleware implementations or application support in a large enterprise environment. Be familiar with middleware technologies.

• Experience with Application Integration architecture, including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Messaging Systems

• Have experience working with some IBM products (IIB, MQ, BPM, ODM)

• Relational databases use and SQL knowledge are mandatory

• Database scripting appreciated

• Have used common messaging systems: MQ, JMS, SI Bus, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), IIB

• Knowledge in Web Services standards and technologies (e.g. XML, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, UDDI, REST, etc.)

• Experience on IBM DB2 SQL are appreciated

• Experience of Unix/ Linux systems are appreciated

• IBM Websphere experience appreciated
