Purpose of the Position

Support the following key areas of Customer account management and future account development for all existing and prospective opportunities within the operations.

Key Tasks

• Manage daily operations review with entire supervisory staff.

• Manage daily customer expectations.

• Promote profitability for all clients within the facility

• Support building strong relationships with all clients and lead torus and discussions with new client prospects.

• Monitor, coordinate and prioritize workflow for all value added services (VAS)

• Point person to focus on total facility optimization

• Support the strategic vision for facility including matching operational plans accordingly

• Timely reporting and compliance with deadlines

• Assure the security and safety of the personnel and inventory

• Adhere to corporate policies and procedures related to logistics, as well as safety and handling of hazardous materials.

• Ensure proper training and education of the staff, including hazardous material and procure cross-training.

• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment/machinery

• Evaluate staff performance on a continuous basis and annually through the PEAR process

• Interview new staff member and make hiring decisions.

• Hold regular meetings with department staff

• Monitor vendor compliance with service standards and requirements as per contracts

• Ensure proper control and reporting of bonded facilities (where applicable)

• Perform regular inventory checks in accordance with corporate guidelines and policies

Decision Making Authority

• Full control over supervisor staff and area leads

• Disciplinary responsibility over warehouse

• Process ownership and enforcement of warehouse

• Work with Warehouse Manager to set working hours and decisions on entire workforce staffing

• Work with Warehouse Manager to decide and enforce corrective measures to ensure operational excellence

• Manage large workforce of over 100 FTE’s through multiple shifts

• Management experience: Min. 5 years.

• Industry Experience: Min. 10 years.

• Supporting customer service teams.

Educational background / Work experience

• Industry experience: minimum 10 years

• Management experience: minimum 5 years

Language skills

• Language skills: fluent in English, second language a plus (where applicable)

Computer Literacy

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft® Office Software (Excel®, Word, PowerPoint® and others)

• Excellent and through knowledge of warehouse environment and warehouse management system applications.
