Purpose:

Lead the warehouse department in all operational disciplines and ensure operational excellence, high productivity and customer satisfaction through the move.

• Execute layout plans and naming conventions for new warehouse

• Plan and execute physcial move including resources and scheduling

• Manage preparation of new warehouse including installation of floor markings, furniture installation, location labeling, ordering supplies, time clocks, emergency kits, communication boards, etc.

• Ensure readiness for the move including hardware, WMS support, operations, etc.

• Assemble warehouse move team and implement move work instructions

• Organize and coordinate transport management and execute to plan

• Ensure product is shipped according to work instructions and on time.

• Receiving inbound product and put away into correct locations in the new facility.

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with the shut down of the old faciltity..

• Coordinate with HR, QHSE and other support functions to ensure all postings and information is provided in new facility.

• Produce reports to track progress of move and productivity.

• Communicate regularly with move and warehouse teams to ensure all relevant partners are updated on progress and issues.

• Report to project managers and owners progress and mitigation plans if needed during the preparation and execution of the facility move

Decision Making Authority

• Ownership and accountability for the moving project within the defined scope (time, cost, quality)

• Decide and enforce corrective measures to ensure a smooth transition

Skills & Requirements

Functional requirements

• Operational warehouse know-how

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of warehouse environment

• Advanced competency in all aspects of business administration

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Knowledge and experience in Project Mangament
