We are looking for a reinforcement for our Overland team for our branch office in Vienna in the following position:

Country Overland Team Manager Austria

Purpose of the position

The Overland Team Manager is responsible for the operational execution and profitable delivery of the Road & Rail product (Overland, Rail, PuD) within the country

The primary purposes of this role are:

* To design, develop and grow the Road & Rail product in a profitable and sustainable manner in the area of responsibility

* To monitor closely Budget, forecasts and EBIT performance for the product

* To execute the global/regional Road & Rail standards and guidelines at country level

* Responsible for customer retention and development

Key Tasks

* Ensure a high quality of operational performance standards resulting in customer satisfaction

* Responsible for the P&L of the product in the country

* Develop, drive and monitor corrective actions in the scope of continuous improvement process

* Ensures and drives the execution of the globally standardized Forwarding Order Policy within the respective area of responsibility in alignment with the FI/CO department

* Implement the C³-culture in the team

* Responsible for the daily performance and productivity. To lead the surface and distribution products to ensure service and profitability at all times

* Pro-actively identify possible low performances and deviations in quality

* Responsible for implementing and optimizing of standards in accordance with Product Management, and Country Management

* Finance reporting and analysis of costs, revenue, on a monthly basis

* To collaborate and support Country and Regional Overland Management in the implementation of the product strategy and subsequent initiative

* Adherence to rules and guidelines set by regional and/or Country Management Overland (e.g. IMS)

* Ensure proper training and education of the team staff

* Evaluate staff performance on a regular basis

* Interview new staff members and recommend candidates for hire

* Assist Sales Department in promoting new business by supporting joint sales calls and providing costing for any new inquiries

* Budget preparation for corresponding costs centers

* Ensure Subcontractor management is in place and monitored

Educational background / Work experience

* Minimum 5 years of Overland experience either from the industry or a 3PL

* Minimum 5 years of experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict and performance management

* Minimum 3 years of experience in managing the profit and losses

Language Skills

* Fluent in English (written and spoken)

* Main local language

* Other languages (written and spoken) preferred

Computer Literacy

* IT experience regarding PA IT systems

* Proficient in MS Office

* Proficient in Lbase TMS

* SAP Experience would be beneficial
