The Air Supervisor will lead the Air Freight Department in all operational disciplines and ensure operational excellenance ,high productivity and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsiblities:

* Monitor timely responses to external/internal customers and other Panalpina offices

* Check all files for accurate documentation (Customs, operation and accounting)

* Assure complete billing of files in accordance with corporate KPI

* Prepare quotations, review customer profiles and rate structures

* Support Sales Department with customer information, rates, etc.

* Complete and update customer profiles

* Visit customers whenever required to improve communication

* Assist department head in training and education of the department staff and supervise cross-training

* Monitor vendors’ compliance with service standards and requirements as per contract terms

* Monitor proper filing and updating of all departmental records, i.e., tariffs, manuals, contracts, etc.

* Assist department head on Shipping Run.

* Hold regular meetings with department staff.

Skills and Requirements:

* Excellent and thorough knowledge of the Import environment and its regulations

* In depth knowledge of import processes

* Excellent communication and people skills

* Supervisory experience - minimum 2 years

* Strong customer service orientation

* Organizational skills - detail oriented, prioritize, plan, assign and control

* Team player

* Maintain up to date knowledge of customers SOP’s, Operations procedures, Panalpina internal and external applications

* Ability to multi-task in order to prioritize customer expectations

* Ability to work in fast paced environment

* Strategic planning skills

* Customer focused

* Able to work in a diverse environment and culture

* Experience with supervising a staff

* Experience in freight forwarding industry
